Hey Carla I like to thank you for my order of the Cympad. I just want to share this with you. I had hooked up with a fellow drummer friend Ingo Marte, great drummer, well I haven seen him and a few years.
We meet up a few weeks over at my bass player Kevin Brennan's Studio and he was telling us about some things he is doing and told us about these Cympads that he is using.
I said "Cympad? Whats that?" So he just smiled like he knew he got another one, but this time he killed two birds with one stone. So he goes to his car and he comes back to the studio with these round black pads It kind of looked like the felt pads but sponge.
Ok we put a 50mm pad on and put the cymbal on and, on the first hit, I knew "wow" that sounded great. No more ringing from the cymbal stand and over tones gone. You really hear the true tone of the cymbal right away smooth fade out.
I order them the next day I order the Double Set w/50,60,70,80,90mm and the Hi Hat & Clutch Pads Set.
All you need is one of these Cympads on the bottom of the cymbal and your optimizer on the top and you will feel and hear the difference, for that best control cymbal sound with out losing the sound quality.
